Welcome to CXLIV Media Group »
The My Life as a Blog experiment has officially come to an end. This is for two reasons.
Most notably because a huge percentage of the entries (upwards of 75%) were being made in the "television" category. As such, the blog was becoming a little over-weighted, so it felt like time for a change. If you were following these events, you can still do so by heading over to the new site, Televizzle.org. All of the content from the "television" category is there, meaning most of the content will be found there.
All of the remaining categories have been merged back into the Don't Back Down blog, which really makes more sense, because that's pretty much where they came from, and it was getting a bit strange trying to figure out how to take (for instance) movie reviews from a year or so ago and combine them with movie reviews from a month ago and make sense out of them. Now they are all in the same place.
You will (hopefully) find that the old links have all been forwarded to the new locations seamlessly, for both categories and individual pages. If you have any problems, let me know so that I can get it fixed.
As to the relative dearth of entries in the last week, that's why. I've been trying to make sure that everything has been working, and I think that it is. Now I have to get caught up on all the things that have backed up, so we'll see a small flood here in the next few minutes/hours, then hopefully return to a regular posting schedule in the next few days. Let me know if you run into any problems.
The other thing that happened is that it seemed like time to head off in a new direction, to try some new publishing techniques and really work at putting things into some more logical order. The most notable example is that of the television category. There's a bit more content in Don't Back Down that will probably come out and be added to the Televizzle.org site when I have the chance, but for now it's going to be the first site in what will hopefully be a small handful of destinations that will focus on topics, rather than just being a cluster of topics that don't make as much sense.
I still don't know how it will work out, but it should be an interesting ride!
