Portobello Review (St. Thomas, USVI 00802) »
After we had been running about St. Thomas for most of the day, we really didn't feel like getting back up and going out again, so we decided to try the hotel restaurant for dinner. The one advantage it has is that it has a nice view over the bay, which isn't a bad view. Dinner time is also when the turtles come out, and they like to poke their heads above water in the bay, and that's a nice experience to see, even though you can't see much. It's just neat.
That's about where the good times end at this place. The service, even on a slow night, is bad. The food isn't all that great. The prices are a bit high, even keeping in mind that food on St. Thomas is already priced a bit high. You'd be better off going somewhere, even keeping in mind the inconvenience of getting up and going somewhere when you really don't want to do so.
