Highly unusual in that it is indeed a chain, but the experience isn't what you'll find at a typical chain restaurant. The food served is done so family style, meaning you'll get heaping plates full and you will share them with those around you. At least, that's the intention. Whether you do so or not is entirely up to you. The food is generally good enough that you may not want to do so.
Back in the day there weren't too many options for ice cream. Now that seems to be changing, but instead of pre-packed options they are all of the 'roll your own' variety. It's like everyone and their brother is getting into the business. This is our favorite, however.
My nose started running. Thus far, I haven't been able to catch it. It seems like the more I blow, the more it keeps running. So far it's all clear, which hopefully means that it's just allergies, but I'll keep an eye on it.
