Corner Bakery Cafe Review (Chicago, IL 60601-1014) »

While wandering about the downtown area, we stopped to get some directions and happened to find ourselves in a restaurant of sorts. It was the first we had seen, but after we saw this one, we must have seen ten more.

I had never before heard of the Corner Bakery Cafe, but looking at their web site shows that they are a far-flung operation with outlets in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Texas and Virginia (and I think Washington DC). That's an odd footprint, to be sure.

Giordano's Review (Chicago, IL 60606) »

After we wandered much of the downtown area on Sunday, we needed a rest for something to eat, and stumbled across Giordano's World Famous Stuffed Pizza, just across from The Sears Tower.

One word of warning. Stuffed pizza takes a long time to cook, so make sure you have time to wait.

Tony n' Tina's Wedding Review »

Since we didn't make it out to any shows the night before, we decided to try and find something to do on our last night before heading home, and since we didn't want to stay out too late, we found the 5pm showing of Tony n' Tina's Wedding to be perfect for our needs. We showed up about 4:30pm, as instructed, and settled right in.

The cast of the show started filling the area not long after, with a photographer and videographer making the rounds, as well as various siblings and other wedding party members mingling with the growing crowd. Just before 5pm, we filed into the Chapel of Love for the ceremony itself, and witnessed the tying of the knot - for somewhere around the 3700th time (figuring 6 times per week for 12 years now).
