I went today for an MRI on my head. They do this periodically to see what's going on in there. I can only assume they think that they will find something interesting.
The last time that I did one (2002), I decided I really don't want to do this again. I've never thought of myself as claustrophobic, but something about being in there sure did it to me. I really didn't want to do it again.
So when I got to the desk, I inquired about a sedative or something, whereby I was promptly informed that if I needed a sedative, I should have arrived earlier so that it had time to work - and someone should have asked me. They didn't, I didn't, so I was out of luck. We left.
