Don't Back Down

If you're not in the US, I would assume you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but that doesn't mean you can't receive well wishes, and I hope that your day goes well regardless. And perhaps you do celebrate the day, but it may not be today. I suspect the "pilgrims and indians share turkey" theme is unique to the US, but the concept of a day of thanks certainly doesn't need to be ours alone.

So, with that in mind: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

For those of you who eat turkey today, whether in the US or not (is turkey popular outside the US?), know that you no longer have an excuse for that afternoon nap. Apparently the myth that says that turkey makes you sleepy is just bunk (via). It's not from Adam and Jamie, so I don't know if it's true. But be on your toes for those who think they've caught you.

And if you just forgot, or are looking for a meal, check out Yelp's new Map-tastic service to find what you need. Sweet integration with their data and Google Maps (via). I've used the service before, but the mapping integration is new, and makes for a much nicer interface. Charlotte is a little weak on data, so if you're in the area, get in there and fill up the map!
