Passing Time with Puzzles »

As I mentioned a while back, I enjoy a good puzzle now and again. So I must say it was quite enjoyable when I first came across the tangram game (via).

This very well-done game has a set of randomized puzzles that you must create out of the same set of shapes. The first time I played it (score of 689, without using the "pause" button, thank you very much), I was enthralled. The second time I played, I noticed that the "sample" image over on the left side wasn't quite put together correctly, and I could typically make out at least half the shapes of the pieces there.

I didn't try to look for these "shape outlines", but since I had to keep looking at the sample image, I found that I often would see the shape in that sample, which probably explains why the second round wasn't quite as enjoyable - and also why I scored much higher (1189, again no use of "pause").
