Ever Hear of a Calendar? »
So a few weeks ago, Carowinds announced that they'd be giving away tickets to their new Winterfest production. Cool, I thought. I even marked the date that it was supposed to start - August 5th - on the calendar.
So I visited the site on Friday. No giveaway. Just a "Coming August 5th" banner. I'm up earlier than most, so I figured it would be there sometime during the day. No such luck. Not Saturday. Not Sunday. So far, not today. Three days and counting. So it looks like the Carowinds folks have decided to demonstrate their (lack of) prowess with a calendar. Nice. I suspect their Winterfest will take place in July.
Update: Three days later and still no sign of the contest. Way to go Carowinds. Yes, I realize they are giving things away for free, and anything we get ought to be looked at as a gift - and I agree completely. But come on - you announce something and don't do it? That's false advertising in my book.
