More Yadkin Valley Wine »
About three-and-a-half years ago, Denise and I availed ourselves of a section of the Yadkin Valley Wine Trail. About two years ago, I added that piece to my blog. Though I doubt that it is solely related to our visit, and my subsequent publishing of the event, the area seems to be picking up steam.
First, the Charlotte/Douglas Airport opens, among other attractions, a Yadkin Valley Wine Bar, where you can taste as many as 10 of the wines from these North Carolina vineyards.
Next, an enterprising entrepreneur adds popcorn to the trail. Apparently the grape-flavored variety tastes like fruity pebbles. Hmm. Don't know what I'd think about fruity pebbles and wine. But it could be interesting, that's for sure!
