Vonage Click-2-Call »
Thanks to the recent newsletter from Vonage, I found out about their Click-2-Call software. This is a cool little application that sits in the system tray (Windows only, sorry). When you highlight a phone number on your computer and press the hotkey (F6 by default), it first dials your default number (if you have more than one, you can set one as default), then you pick it up and it connects you to the selected number. Cool!

I don't particularly like Vonage. They lock their phones, and this is bad for us consumers.
A friend of mine who was not satisfied with their servcie tried to change provider, and only then realized that she had to buy another phone.

What do you mean exactly that they lock their phones? I have Vonage service and have no trouble at all with it, in fact, there are some advantage I really like but I'm curious about your comment. Please respond by email too since I don't always have the time to follow every post I make.
