Stopping Yahoo Logging »

I ran across this article the other day while browsing. It seems that Yahoo! tracks your activities - not just on their properties, but about everywhere - through the use of a web beacon. Luckily, the article also tells you how to turn it off.

First, log into your Yahoo! account. Next visit this link and read all about the company's use of web beacons. Finally, scroll about halfway down the page (or search for "click here"), where you will find this link, which allows you to opt-out. Simple as that!

Thanks. I can't believe how many junk emails I get at my Yahoo account. This certainly might help. You do have the option to block email address in Yahoo, but you only get a certain amount. With the email accounts on the various websites I maintain, I can easily 'blacklist' any email address. That works very well

Logging your actions is not always annoying, only if the logs are kept secret and only could be accessed by programs, and the programs cannot leak them to anyone else... A little bit incredible, ha~
