MT-Approval 0.1.7 »
Yes, another update to MT-Approval. This one simply enhances the logging feature. The distribution includes a slightly modified copy of view_log.tmpl, which should go into your tmpl/cms directory, under your main Movable Type installation (alongside approval.pm and few dozen others).
This file is not required in two situations: If you never look at the activity log and if you don't care what the activity log looks like. The former for obvious reasons. The latter because there is some embedded HTML in the log entry (a line break). In the default template, HTML is encoded, so instead of a pretty line break, you get... a tag for a line break. Here's what it looks like if you have the new template installed (some information obscured on purpose, yours shouldn't do that):
So if you look at the log - or would like to look at the log, and if you would like a prettier set of log entries, install this extra file (as well as the others that have been updated). If not (on any of the above), don't worry about it. It will be there if you decide you need it later.
Note: I'm updating MT-Approval pretty regularly right now, and I don't see that changing in the immediate future. You should probably keep your eyes open for new versions, as they might solve any problems you are having. One option is to subscribe to the MT-Approval feed in your favorite RSS aggregator, so you are regularly notified of new content in this category. You can, of course subscribe to the main feed, but that has other stuff in it too, and I understand if you aren't interested in that.
Request: Anyone out there running IIS on their server? I have evidence that there is a problem with this configuration. I would like to try and correct it, but I need someone willing to put up with a handful of updates over a relatively short period of time (yes, an even shorter period of time - like minutes) who can give me some feedback on what's happening, since I don't have access to an IIS server. If interested, let me know.
