Moron Counting »
After talking more with Seth (who has his own plugin for counting entries in sub-categories), it appears that <$MTCategoryCount$> includes both draft entries and published ones.
This in general doesn't bother me, but since I used that code in my plugin, it meant that I was counting draft entries as well.
So I toyed with the code for a bit, and finally came up with a relatively simple join statement that means the plugin will only count published entries.
I'm releasing this version as-is, but I'm wondering if people want this plugin to count draft entries, so that it behaves like the built-in MT version. Let me know if you do and I'll change it so that you can control this behavior by adding another attribute to the tag.

Thats just what I was looking for.
The default method of counting draft entries is driving me up the wall, although the changelog says it was fixed in 2.6
