Running the Numbers »
The other day someone at Bloglines asked if I knew how many times the Bloglines Toolkit had been downloaded from my site. I had no idea, so I started digging.
I shortly found out that the Toolkit had been downloaded about 60 times in the last week or so - not including the Portuguese version, which had already been downloaded 7 times. Those Portuguese are apparently crazy for extensions.
In any case, after dwelling on it for a bit, I decided I wanted some more numbers. So I looked some more. The results weren't particularly surprising, but it was an interesting exercise to see what works and what doesn't, at least in a general sense.
What I found was that the Toolkit had been downloaded a whopping 3247 times across different versions (so I'm sure there's some overlap there). MT-Notifier was the second most popular download, with 812 downloads.
MT-SomeDays was third with 440, MT-Outliner fifth with 384 downloads, and little MT-Moderate brought up the rear with 233 downloads. These numbers are only good since May-ish, as that's when I switched hosts.
