Don't Back Down

MT-Notifier does not currently support entry notifications. With some work I am sure that I can add this feature to the plugin.

However, I find that I don't have as much free time as I'd like to have, or as I used to have. As a result, I can't currently justify the development of yet another feature, not to mention the support required to use that feature, when I don't get paid - and in fact, give up paying work - to do so. Thanks to David, we have an answer.

Introducing my first feature ransom using Dropcash: MT-Notifier Entry Notification.

The goal for this campaign is $120. I know that sounds like a lot, and for one person, it probably is a lot. For a company, probably less so. But if just 12 people donate $10, it's done. If that's too much, round up more people (24 at $5 each, for instance) and it's done.

Once the goal of the campaign is reached, I'll release code to provide entry notifications along with (or in place of) comment notifications - including the ability to select either or both methods for each subscription. Yes, the code is readily available, and yes the license permits you to provide this service to yourself or to others. Feel free to do so if you like.

I, however, cannot continue to do quite as much development without some form of compensation. I can only argue the learning curve for so long. Now it's learned, and I need to move on.

Depending on the success of this project, more features may find their way to the light of day. That's not to say that without this, no other features will ever be released. It's just to say that I'm going to be a whole lot slower at releasing them. This is a way of speeding that process. As an alternative, feel free to send donations directly or to pop a gift or two in the mail. I'm not tied to a particular amount, or even to the Dropcash campaign. I am a bit tied to needing something in return however. My apologies in advance for being so mercenary.
