Odds and Ends »
I exchanged some email with Ben yesterday, and while the handling of the developer contest bugs me, I do appreciate the effort that he made. Along with the new license announcements, perhaps it is a sign that Six Apart is moving in the right direction, communication-wise.
I'm really torn about what to do with my final plugin. A part of me wants to write it off, submit what I've got and be done with it. Another part (and likely the part that's winning) wants to take the extension granted and make it work like I wanted to, as opposed to the somewhat stripped-down version I was planning to make the deadline.
In the end, I don't know yet. I'm going to Aruba in a few hours, and I'll decide when I get back what I'll do. I do know that I'm not going to submit it today. I've got too many other things to worry about. This means that a public version of the new MT-Notifier, even a slightly feature-deficient public version, will probably be a couple weeks. Sorry. I hope it will be worth the wait.
Speaking of Aruba: I'm not going to be around for a few days. Because of the comment moderation plugin that I put together, this may mean that new comments don't show up for a while. So please understand, and realize I'll do the moderation when I get back, or make sure you post on recent entries, so it's not an issue. Thanks for understanding. See you next week.
Update: Almost forgot - The Bloglines Toolkit for Mozilla may work with Firefox 0.9 (if you upgraded from an already-installed 0.8 copy), but it won't install. I've got to figure out the new extension packaging mechanism for that to work. If you use the toolkit and can't do without it, then I suggest sticking with version 0.8 (of Firefox) for the time being. I'll work on it when I get back.
