Check Baby Check »
Maybe I should get into dream analysis. Of course, I'd probably have to either have some clue what I'm doing, or at least be able to convince people that I do. And when it comes to interpreting dreams, I don't know that I could qualify for either.
Last night, for instance, I had a strange dream about checks. I had a stack of 'em. Maybe that means I'm worried about money or something, and I was visualizing what I wanted to happen. In any case, this stack of checks was huge - there had to be dozens of them.
Most were old. Not years, but at least weeks, old. Probably approaching the limit for checks you'd be able to cash. Maybe that holds the clue. I had received a check from a client that I hadn't cashed yet, and I was thinking that I needed to before the "valid for 90 days from date of issue" came into play.
While that might make sense, it makes no sense at all why the tall albino guy wanted to steal my checks from me. He jumped in the car and everything. Finally I had to pop the spy-style door opener from my side while taking a sharp turn around the high school parking lot. Not wearing his seat belt, he was dumped down into the ravine.
The tall albino could be my interpretation of Uncle Sam, trying to take my money. I could buy that I was wanting to make sure I cashed my checks on time, and I wanted to keep the government's hands off the money as much as possible. Not sure about the large high school parking lot with a ravine in it, though. I'll have to think on that one for a while.
